Sparrow Specialty Hospital
Sparrow Specialty Hospital was among about 700 hospitals nationwide to receive Quality Respiratory Care Recognition (QRCR) from the American Association for Respiratory Care. To earn this recognition, a facility must have respiratory therapists available 24 hours a day, all respiratory therapists employed must be credentialed or certified by the state, and the facility must meet other stringent standards in respiratory care.

Carson City Hospital
Carson City Hospital was recognized as one of the nation's Top 25 Most Wired-Small and Rural hospitals in 2011 in Hospitals & Health Networks magazine. This was the ninth year overall and fifth consecutive that Carson City received the award. The award signifies advanced Information Technology practices, such as electronic ordering of medications.

Sparrow's Thoracic and Cardiovascular Institute (TCI) received a nationally recognized accreditation for its Vascular Laboratory Services. The three-year accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) comes after a thorough examination of TCI's Vascular Lab, its technicians, and its physicians, in addition to the review of case studies.

In 2012, the stroke program received Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for excellence in following AHA/ASA guidelines in treating stroke Patients. Sparrow earned this honor for adhering to or exceeding strict scientific guidelines for stroke care. It is the only hospital in mid-Michigan to receive the award and among only six statewide.

Sparrow, in partnership with other Michigan health care organizations, received national recognition for innovative stroke efforts in Michigan. The National Stroke Association honored Value Health Partners with an award for "Most Creative Approach" to stroke awareness.
